Some sad news: The NDP will not be unable to proceed with its Caucus Retreat this weekend in Edmonton. There is a crucial vote in the House this Friday and we need our MPs present in Ottawa. This means that our fundraiser at the Muttart Conservatory and our events at the University of Alberta are cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Please call Linda's office at 780-495-8404 if you would like more information.
And now for some happier news: Linda will be returning to Edmonton late Friday September 19th, and will be attending Earth Day at McIntyre Park on Saturday. Please drop by the Edmonton-Strathcona NDP's booth there.
Finally, Linda will also be hosting a meeting on Seniors' Issues on Sunday with Wayne Marston, MP, NDP critic on Seniors and Pensions in the Card Room at South East Edmonton Seniors Association, 9350 82 St. Everyone is welcome!
Details are on the events page, or you can call Linda Duncan's office for more details at 780-495-8404.

Lots of news today!
First, we are proud to introduce our Linda Duncan Neighbourhood teams!
We know that the next federal election could happen at any time, and that the Conservatives will be spare no effort to try and get Edmonton-Strathcona back. We need to work very hard on Linda's behalf to ensure that we keep her in Ottawa. The Campaign to Re-elect Linda Duncan is setting up neighbourhood teams, on the model of the Obama Campaign. We will be building our re-election campaign on the basis of the Obama message to his election activists: "Respect, Empower, Include". If you would like to find out more or join a team in your area, please contact Erica at ericab@shaw.ca.
We have two events coming up in the east of our riding in the next few weeks and I would like to ask any of you who can spare the time to drop some flyers for us. Of course, you are also invited to the events:
Wednesday, July 22nd, 6.30 – 8.30pm, Blues Java Bar, 5010 106 Ave: Join Linda for dessert. Face painting and balloon art for the kids.
